Estate & Legacy

An estate & legacy gift is a planned future gift that designates part of your (or someone else's) estate as a donation to a nonprofit. Estate attorneys are accustomed to drafting these types of gifts. They help individuals leave lasting legacies for causes they believe in. We'd be honored to be one of those causes for you. Special events hosted throughout the year and online provide a powerful opportunity to engage with our community. Sponsorship lends visibility locally and in your community.

Corporate Sponsors

If you're a leader or manager in a corporation who believes in our Josh the Otter Water Safety Mission, we'd like to invite you to donate to our cause so we can reach more children, educate in more classrooms, and provide more life-saving services like float lessons. Crypto Currency

To make a gift of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency to Josh The Otter, we recommend donating your cryptocurrency to the organization that hosts your donor advised fund and recommending a grant to Josh The Otter from your donor advised fund. If you do not have a donor advised fund, we recommend you explore opening a donor advised fund through Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable, both of which allow cryptocurrency contributions to donor advised funds.

In Memory

We invite you to honor or remember someone special by making a memorial donation. This type of gift is made in memory of a deceased family member, friend, neighbor, colleague etc.  Gifts are often given in lieu of flowers for a funeral or memorial service,  on an anniversary of the individual’s passing or other special times of remembrance. Please email Shelly Stewart at shelly@joshtheotter.org or call (402) 613-5555 for more information.  

An acknowledgment will be sent to the family of the person you have honored. The note will not give them the amount of the gift, but will let them know a gift has been made in their honor or memory.  With each donation, our programs about water safety and drowning prevention will reach more and more people around the world.
