WATER SAFETY
TAKE THE PLEDGE
1
I promise to be a good son
or daughter.
2
I promise to get and adult when I go
near the water.
3
This will keep me safe like Josh the
baby otter.

WHY THE OTTER
Did you know that otters are known for their tremendous floating skills? That's right, otters LOVE to float, and they're exceptional at it too. They're so good that a group of resting otters is called a raft - a sturdy, floating object. Otters love to float in groups. Researchers have seen concentrations of over 1,000 otters floating together. How fun! This makes Josh the Otter the perfect example for our children. We teach kids how to float on their backs like otters so they can stay safe in any water situation. And we ask them to take the safety pledge where they promise only to enter the water with adults and when other people are around (just like otters!)
